A committee of the National Academies will assess potential impacts from offshore windfarms in the Nantucket Shoals region on marine hydrodynamics and resulting impacts on marine mammals, specifically on the availability of North Atlantic right whale prey. The Nantucket Shoals Wind Farm Field Monitoring Program includes a consensus report examining offshore wind farms' potential effects on oceanic processes and ecosystem dynamics. The 2024 workshop brings together stakeholders to explore observational needs and monitoring activities for the Nantucket Shoals region. Additional URLs:
