The Cottrell STAR (Science Teaching and Research) Award recognizes outstanding research and educational accomplishments within the Cottrell Scholar community, particularly honoring previous Holland Award recipients. The award aims to encourage and promote excellence in science education at American and Canadian universities and colleges, while elevating the national profile of both the Scholars and Holland Awardees. Additional Eligibility Information

Nominees must be at least 12 years beyond receiving their Cottrell Scholar Award and must hold a faculty appointment at a research university or primarily undergraduate institution in the United States or Canada. Holland Awardees are eligible to apply regardless of the year they received the award. Previous STAR or TREE award recipients cannot apply.
