The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, in partnership with the Royal Society of Canada, will organize and convene a workshop examining future climate, social, and ecological drivers of wildfire in the western United States and Canada. The workshop will analyze the increasing trajectory of fire size, severity, and frequency observed since the 1970s. The workshop will address critical questions including:
