Engineered Quantum States of Light

Description

We are investigating methods of creating new quantum states of light such as Schrodinger cat states, NOON states, and Fock states. These new states have a variety of applications, including linear optical quantum computing, quantum metrology (e.g., Heisenberg limited interferometry), and fundamental physics (loop-hole free Bell measurements).
