Description
The U.S. Embassy in Buenos Aires, through its Public Affairs Section (PAS), invites proposals for strategic programs that promote U.S.-Argentine collaboration in economic development, entrepreneurship, alumni engagement, youth leadership, U.S. studies, and workforce development. Projects must be implemented in Argentina and demonstrate a clear connection to U.S. policy, values, or expertise.
Programs supported in this call include:
- Academy of Women Entrepreneurs (AWE): Entrepreneurial training for Argentine women.
- Alumni Groups Meeting and Networking Event: Capacity-building and networking for alumni of U.S. government exchange programs.
- Promote Leadership and Democracy Among Youth: Training for university students on democratic institutions and leadership.
- Study of the United States Program (250th Anniversary): Academic programming on U.S. values, institutions, and policy, commemorating the U.S. 250th anniversary.
- Argentina Binational Centers’ Bilingual Job Fair: Job fair to connect English-speaking talent with U.S. companies in Argentina.
All projects must include a substantive U.S. element, such as U.S. experts, organizations, or content.

Funding Amount

Eligibility

- Proposals must be in English and include a budget in U.S. dollars

- Prepare an executive summary (max 4 pages) including:
- Statement of the issue and proposed action
- Project narrative
- Audience definition (age, quantity, socio-economic status)
- Implementation region(s)
- Budget (major expense breakdown)
- Monitoring and evaluation plan

- Reporting:
- Narrative and financial reports required mid-term and at project end
- Up to 20% of award may be withheld pending final reporting
Additional Information

- Ineligible activities:
- Projects primarily benefiting individuals/businesses
- Scholarships for English study, conference attendance, or U.S. study tours
- Political/partisan activities
- Book/app/website publication as main purpose
- Purely scientific research
- Projects over two years in duration
- Equipment, vehicle, or construction purchases
- Programs for children under 13
- Religious activities
- Funding Restrictions:
- No funds for UNRWA or activities encouraging migration to the U.S.
- Compliance with U.S. anti-discrimination laws required
