Event-based sensing (EBS) is an imaging paradigm in which pixels asynchronously report when intensity changes occur in their respective IFOVs. These sensors have a high temporal resolution and low SWaP-C, making them of interest for space-based surveillance systems. The tradeoff, however, is, that each pixel’s report only tells whether the intensity increased or decreased; no radiometric intensity information is included.
