This opportunity from the National Institutes of Health (NIH), led by the National Institute on Aging (NIA) and the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS), invites applications for research on current topics in Alzheimer's disease (AD) and Alzheimer's disease-related dementias (ADRD). The Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) is designed to support biomedical, social, and behavioral research, as well as research training, to advance understanding of the aging process and the diseases and challenges associated with aging populations.
The NOFO is intentionally broad, with specific high-priority research topics to be announced through subsequent Notices of Special Interest (NOSIs). Both basic and clinical research are eligible, and clinical trials are optional under this mechanism.
