This theoretical/computational research program studies the Earth’s radiation belt environment which is known to trap energetic electrons for a very long duration. In particular, the focus is on active remediation of the high-energy (~MeV) electrons which may be trapped in this region in the aftermath of a high-altitude nuclear explosion.
