Description
The National Institute of Nursing Research (NINR), part of the NIH, is forecasting a limited competition funding opportunity for Community-Partnered Nursing Research Centers. This initiative aims to support Schools or Colleges of Nursing (SON/CONs) with limited NIH funding in establishing or enhancing research centers that focus on community-partnered, interdisciplinary research to address persistent health challenges. The program will use the P20 Exploratory Center mechanism and is designed to:
- Establish centralized research resources within eligible nursing schools/colleges.
- Build expertise in community-partnered research.
- Develop nurse-led, interdisciplinary research teams that engage communities in the development, implementation, and evaluation of research projects.
The opportunity is intended to foster sustainable, nursing-led research programs that advance the NINR mission and promote health equity through community engagement.
