This research concerns severe convection using observations, numerical simulations, and theory to understand the ingredients necessary for severe convective events. Although our main emphasis is on supercell thunderstorms and tornadoes, work includes studies on the full spectrum of severe convective weather, including damaging convective winds, large hail, and heavy precipitation.
