Description
The National Institute of Nursing Research (NINR), part of the NIH, intends to release a funding opportunity for Community-Partnered Nursing Research Centers (P20, Clinical Trial Optional). This initiative aims to foster the development of nursing-led research centers that partner with communities to address persistent health challenges. The program will support the creation and enhancement of interdisciplinary, community-engaged research capacity within Schools or Colleges of Nursing.
The P20 Exploratory Center mechanism is designed to:
- Establish centralized research resources in Schools or Colleges of Nursing (SON/CONs)
- Build expertise in community-partnered research
- Develop nurse-led, interdisciplinary research teams that collaborate with communities in the development, implementation, and evaluation of research projects
