Description

The objective of this program is to develop the physics theories, models, and numerical simulation tools for the coupled self-consistent description of the non-LTE radiation magneto-hydrodynamics of laboratory and astrophysical plasmas. Individual critical elements of this research are atomic processes in plasmas, non-LTE ionization kinetics, absorption/emission physics, fluid-flow with radiation transport, electron beam generation, and plasma spectroscopy.
