The size and scope of aerospace propulsion CFD simulations and experiments have increased tremendously in recent years, necessitating the development of methods to efficiently store, study, and utilize the vast amounts of generated data. This opportunity focuses on applying scientific machine learning and reduced order modeling to improve simulations and data analysis in rocket and gas turbine propulsion, with an emphasis on turbulent combustion and heat transfer challenges.
