The objective of this research is to study the geophysical fluid dynamics and structures of ocean fronts and eddies both in the coastal and deep oceans. Specific processes of interest include transports, cross-frontal exchange, submesoscale physics, frontal instabilities, mixing, and nonlinear interactions between scales.
