Description

The U.S. National Committee for Soil Sciences (USNC/SS) represents the International Union of Soil Sciences (IUSS) at the national level. The committee advances soil science domestically and internationally while advising The National Academies on IUSS matters and facilitating U.S. participation in international initiatives. Through engagement with professional societies and organizations, the USNC/SS identifies key issues affecting the soil science community.

This program provides fellowships to SSSA members who are soil science graduate students or post-doctoral researchers presenting papers (oral or poster) at the World Congress of Soil Science of the International Union of Soil Sciences (IUSS).

The National Academies mobilize approximately 6,000 top experts each year who volunteer their time and knowledge to conduct policy studies, workshops, and other activities aimed at addressing critical issues facing the nation and world.
