The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (NASEM) will convene an ad hoc planning committee of international scientists to develop a workshop to discuss practices for anticipating and countering malicious exploitation and accidental harmful use of current and future research in neuroscience. Additional InformationThe workshop will be informed by a bibliometric analysis of current research ongoing in Southeast Asia in neuroscience to explore current and cutting-edge developments and applications of neuroscience. It includes scenario-based exercises and discussions on responsible innovation, shared norms, and broader safety and security awareness, including bio, cyber, and data security practices relevant to neuroscience.
