We are developing unique quantum sensors (specifically thermal kinetic inductance detectors, or TKIDs) for low-energy charged particle detection. The driving goal is the realization of a very large area, scalable, high resolution charged particle detector to be used to detect the decay protons and electrons from neutron beta decay.
