The NASEM's Board on Agriculture and Natural Resources (BANR) marked its 75th anniversary in mid-2019. Since 1944, BANR has martialed the nation's most talented scientists and practitioners to advise policymakers and engage the public on the crucial, contemporary issues affecting food, agriculture, and the nation's natural resources. To celebrate and expand its impact, BANR is working with academic institutions across the United States to co-organize and host the Board on Agriculture and Natural Resources 75th Anniversary Lectur...

They produce peer-reviewed reports, publish scientific journals, and serve as a trusted source of expert advice for policymaking. The National Academies mobilize approximately 6,000 top experts each year who volunteer their time and knowledge to conduct policy studies, workshops, and other activities aimed at addressing critical issues facing the nation and world.

Additional InformationThe lecture series is organized to celebrate BANR's 75th anniversary and will be held at different locations across the U.S. The events engage various local communities to highlight the link between research and policy-making in natural resources and agriculture.
