The chemical characterization of biomolecules and the measurement of their interactions at low copy numbers are critical for applications in biomanufacturing and personalized medicine. We are developing new electronics techniques that leverage the field effect, and optomechanical interferometric methods for the on-chip measurements of molecular interactions and spectroscopic characterization of proteins, nucleic acids, small molecule ligands, and other biomolecules.
