Description

This program examines fundamental problems of the physics of magnetic field dynamics in the heliosphere. It includes research areas such as the emergence of magnetic flux in solar physics, magnetopause reconnection in magnetospheric physics, and the acceleration of the slow solar wind in solar wind physics. The research uses time-dependent numerical simulations with models for comparison with satellite data and provides access to DOD high-performance computing.
