The Basil O'Connor Starter Scholar Research Award supports outstanding researchers embarking on or continuing their independent research careers. This award is named in honor of the first March of Dimes Chairman and President and is comprised of a $150,000 grant over a two-year period. Additional Eligibility Information

Open to applicants, who at award date, are four to nine years past clinical training for MD, MD/PhD or completion of terminal degree for PhD applicants. Applicants must hold a tenure-track faculty position in the U.S. PhD applicants must have appointments in clinical departments related to maternal or child health.
