The Simons Collaborations in Mathematics and the Physical Sciences program aims to stimulate progress on fundamental scientific questions in mathematics, theoretical physics, and theoretical computer science. Collaborations should address topics of major scientific importance with clearly defined initial activities and goals for measuring progress. Eligible Applicants- Collaboration director must hold a tenured faculty position at a U.S. educational institution- and PIs must hold a tenured or tenure-track faculty position. Non-U.S. institution participation is allowed. Funding to U.S. national labs or for-profit institutions is not allowed.
