DescriptionDoctoral candidates who are non-ROC citizens and enrolled in accredited universities in the Americas can apply for financial support for writing dissertations in Chinese Studies. Maximum award is $20,000 for one year. Applications open annually from August 1 to October 15. Successful candidates expected to complete dissertations by grant end. Funding in two installments. Evaluation based on research contribution, work quality and originality, project approach, and completion likelihood.

Eligible Applicants- Non-ROC citizens enrolled in accredited universities in the Americas. Must be in the last year of doctoral program and meet all requirements for Ph.D. degree. Must not be employed full-time or receive other grants during grant period. This grant is avaliable to people located in United States- Canada- Mexico- Central America- South America.
