DescriptionThe Carter Manny Award supports the completion of outstanding doctoral dissertations on architecture. It offers two types of awards: Research Award and Writing Award. The grant amounts are up to $15,000 for Research and up to $20,000 for Writing. The applications are thoroughly reviewed by a diverse panel of scholars in the field.

Eligible Applicants- PhD students who are candidates for a doctoral degree in the US and Canada are eligible. Applicants must have dissertation proposals approved by their departments. Students at the research or writing stage are eligible. Previous award recipients may reapply if unsuccessful. Students from various academic disciplines related to architecture are welcome to apply. This grant is avaliable to people located in United States- Canada.
