DescriptionArtsSmarts provides opportunities for schools to enhance artistic activities directly linked to educational outcomes, encouraging students to develop their intellectual skills through active participation in the arts. The goal is to engage young people in artistic activity to nurture creative thinkers. The program supports projects that incorporate various artistic disciplines.

Eligible Applicants- Only schools and school boards in the provincial K-12 education system are eligible. Professional individual artists- groups of artists- or professional not-for-profit arts organizations may participate in projects- subject to specific criteria. Applicants must meet age- residency- and activity requirements set by ArtsNL. This grant is avaliable to people located in Newfoundland and Labrador.
