This opportunity provides implementation funding for the FY 2025 Regional Technology and Innovation Hubs (Tech Hubs) Program, administered by the U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA). The program aims to strengthen U.S. economic competitiveness and national security through targeted, place-based investments in regions with the assets and potential to become global leaders in critical technologies over the next decade. Funding supports projects that accelerate technology commercialization, manufacturing, workforce development, infrastructure, and governance within designated Tech Hubs.
The program is not intended to fund basic research, but rather to advance commercialization, deployment, and scaling of technologies in sectors such as AI, semiconductors, quantum computing, advanced manufacturing, biotechnology, cybersecurity, advanced energy, and more. Only 19 pre-designated Tech Hub consortia that have received Consortium Accelerator Awards (CAAs) and have not previously received EDA Tech Hubs Implementation funds are eligible for this competition.
