The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Program, administered by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), is the agency’s largest matching grant-funded initiative supporting small businesses. The program funds designated recipient organizations—one in each state (with regional networks in Texas and California), the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, American Samoa, Guam, and the Northern Mariana Islands. These organizations operate Lead Centers and networks of partner Service Centers to deliver business counseling, training, technical assistance, and informational tools to entrepreneurs and small businesses. The program aims to enhance local and national economic development by leveraging federal, state, local, and private sector resources.
