Description
The Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) Center for Bio/Molecular Science and Engineering in Washington, DC, invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship in Applied Molecular Microbiology. The fellowship focuses on developing sequence-based detection methods for bacterial and viral pathogens from complex environmental matrices, supporting field-forward surveillance efforts.
The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary team working on molecular identification techniques, with an emphasis on nanopore sequencing technology. Experience in nanopore sequencing is required, and prior experience with multiplex PCR assay development is highly desirable but not mandatory.
