Description
The Office for Victims of Crime (OVC), part of the U.S. Department of Justice’s Office of Justice Programs, offers this Antiterrorism and Emergency Assistance Program (AEAP) opportunity for Perry, Iowa. Funded through the Antiterrorism Emergency Reserve, AEAP provides supplemental support to victims of mass criminal violence or domestic terrorism. Its objective is to increase access to services, assistance—including victim compensation—and improved outcomes.
OVC may fund crisis response, consequence management, criminal justice support, and crime victim compensation, separately or in one application. AEAP is intended for incidents large enough that a jurisdiction cannot meet victims’ needs promptly and comprehensively with existing resources while continuing to support victims of other crimes.
