Description
This grant program, offered by the American Society for The Prevention of Cruelty To Animals Professional (ASPCA), is designed to help animal welfare organizations and shelters across New York State comply with the new regulatory requirements of Article 26-C of New York State law, effective December 15, 2025. Funding supports facility and operational upgrades to meet the state's Companion Animal Care Standards, including improvements to enclosures, veterinary equipment, sanitation, recordkeeping systems, and staff training. The goal is to elevate the standard of care for homeless animals and ensure shelters can meet both legal and best practice benchmarks.
