Description
The Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA), part of the U.S. Department of Justice’s Office of Justice Programs, administers this grant to support state, local, and tribal efforts to identify, disrupt, and prevent violent crime committed by criminal illegal aliens. The program seeks to enhance public safety through coordinated, intelligence-led law enforcement operations and to protect people from the harm experienced by Angel Families.
Awards should support significant participation in Homeland Security Task Force (HSTF) activities and other DOJ efforts to combat gangs, cartels, and violent crime. Permissible activities include hiring or rehiring law enforcement personnel, supporting critical non-law-enforcement personnel, and acquiring technology and equipment for related criminal justice operations.
