    Description

The Catalyst Awards support innovative projects that transform the clinical learning environment for residents and fellows in graduate medical education (GME). Funded projects must advance one or more of the Foundation’s priority areas: promoting diversity, equity, and belonging; fostering interprofessional teamwork; and preparing future health professionals to navigate ethical dilemmas. The aim is to equip learners with tools, skills, and support to flourish in high-pressure clinical settings, address challenges such as imposter syndrome, performance gaps, patient safety, and ethical responses to medical errors, and generate scalable models for broader institutional change.

Projects are expected to describe, implement, and evaluate interventions that directly impact the clinical learning environment and demonstrate potential for replication at other institutions. The Foundation values co-creation with learners, institutional commitment, and strong evaluation and dissemination plans.
