Description
This opportunity, administered by the Office of Cooperative Threat Reduction (CTR) within the Bureau of International Security-Nonproliferation, funds projects that disrupt proliferation of weapons of mass destruction (WMD), secure critical and emerging technologies, and strengthen research security and compliance globally. The program supports U.S. and allied efforts to counter threats from adversarial states and non-state actors, advance the responsible deployment of technologies (including AI, biotechnology, quantum, semiconductors, and small modular reactors), and enhance sanctions enforcement, cybersecurity, and intellectual property protection.
Projects may address a wide range of lines of effort, including countering chemical/biological threats, protecting biotechnologies, disrupting illicit procurement networks, enforcing sanctions, and evaluating nonproliferation programming. Activities can include research, training, threat analysis, capacity building, and technical assistance, with an emphasis on high-impact, measurable outcomes.
