Description
This opportunity funds investigator-initiated Phase I or IIA clinical trials that aim to validate the use of already approved drugs, biologics, or eligible cellular/gene therapies for new disease indications, leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) model data as a required component of preclinical support. The initiative is designed to accelerate the development of new treatments for unsolved diseases by validating AI-driven drug repurposing strategies. Projects must be led by principal investigators from nonprofit academic or research institutions anywhere in the world. There is a preference for projects focused on rare diseases, off-patent drugs, and the use of openly accessible or nonprofit/government-developed AI models.
