    Description

The 2026 Graton Artist Opportunity, presented by the Sundance Institute, is designed to amplify the voices of artists from federally and non-federally recognized California Indian tribes by supporting their storytelling through film. Selected artists gain yearlong access to the Sundance Collab platform, which offers curated courses, workshops, advisor sessions, and a vibrant virtual community. This initiative, supported by a $4 million endowment from the Federated Indians of Graton Rancheria, addresses the underrepresentation of California Native perspectives in film and supports artists at any stage of their career or project development.
