Description

This award recognizes a senior scientist whose career has demonstrated creative and influential scholarship in any area of botany. The recipient must be at least 20 years post-PhD and should have made a significant impact on the botanical sciences, nationally or internationally. The awardee will be honored at the annual Botany meeting, is expected to deliver a special lecture at the following year's event, and receives a $6,000 monetary award to support attendance and acknowledge their achievements. The Guido Girolami Award in Botany is administered by the Botanical Society of America and is open to nominees worldwide.
