Description
The Guido Girolami Award in Botany is a prestigious annual honor presented by the Botanical Society of America to a senior scientist whose career spans at least two decades beyond their PhD. The award celebrates individuals for their creative, influential scholarship and broad impact on the field of botany, in alignment with the Society’s mission. The selected awardee is recognized at the annual Botany meeting and is invited to deliver a special lecture at the following year's conference. The award includes a $6,000 honorarium intended to support attendance at the meeting and to acknowledge the recipient’s distinguished contributions to botanical science.
