Description
The Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP), part of the U.S. Department of Justice’s Office of Justice Programs, funds support for a national network of 61 multiagency, multijurisdictional Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) task forces. The task forces investigate, conduct forensic examinations, and support prosecutions involving technology-facilitated child sexual exploitation.
The award will provide services to OJJDP, ICAC task forces, ICAC National Training providers, and law enforcement partners. Priorities include improving access to training, expanding prevention and community outreach, supporting task force commander meetings, responding to emerging technology-based threats, advancing the National Strategy for Child Exploitation Prevention and Interdiction, and strengthening collaboration. Expected deliverables include a training and technical assistance website, a task force affiliate database, and information-sharing listservs.
