The Jansky Fellowship Program, administered by the National Radio Astronomy Observatory (NRAO), is designed to support exceptional early career scientists in conducting independent and innovative research that leverages NRAO’s world-leading radio astronomy facilities. Fellows can utilize observatories such as ALMA, VLA, VLBA, and GBO, and may contribute to the development of next-generation instruments like the ngVLA. The program encourages proposals in radio astronomy, multi-wavelength science, instrumentation, computation, and theory. Appointments may be based at NRAO sites, split between a U.S. university and an NRAO location, or (in compelling cases) held as a non-resident fellowship at a U.S. university with strong NRAO ties.
