The Dean John A. Knauss Marine Policy Fellowship provides a unique, one-year paid professional experience for highly qualified graduate students and early career professionals to work on national policy and science issues related to coastal, marine, and Great Lakes resources. Fellows are placed in offices within the executive or legislative branches of the U.S. government in Washington, D.C., where they contribute directly to policy decisions and gain hands-on experience at the intersection of science and public policy. The fellowship is administered through the National Sea Grant College Program in partnership with state Sea Grant programs, including Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution Sea Grant.
