Description
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) offers annual competitive grants under the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act to address aging airport-owned air traffic control towers. Up to $100 million in FY 2027 Airport Infrastructure Grant funds is available for projects at eligible airports.
The FAA will consider projects that sustain, construct, repair, improve, rehabilitate, modernize, replace, or relocate non-approach control towers. Funding may also support air traffic control, communications, and related equipment for those towers, or construction of an FAA-certified remote tower with associated equipment. The program’s tower investments are intended to support safer and more efficient air travel.
