    Description

    The John A. Knauss Marine Policy Fellowship provides graduate students with a unique, immersive experience working at the interface of science, policy, and public service in Washington, D.C. Fellows are placed in either legislative or executive branch offices, where they contribute to the development and implementation of national policy affecting ocean, coastal, and Great Lakes resources. The program is designed to foster the next generation of leaders in marine policy, offering a one-year, paid opportunity to work alongside policymakers and gain hands-on experience in federal policy-making processes. The fellowship is administered by the National Sea Grant College Program in partnership with state Sea Grant programs, including California Sea Grant.
