    Description

The American Association of Endocrine Surgeons (AAES) offers the 2027 Pan-American Endocrine Surgery Observership at seven participating U.S. institutions. The program promotes knowledge exchange, professional growth, cross-cultural learning, and international collaboration by welcoming Latin American surgeons into endocrine surgery clinics, operating rooms, and academic activities. It is a separate opportunity unrelated to the Solórzano Travel Awards.

Experiences are institution-specific, with exposure to thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal, and endocrine oncology care. Hosts offer faculty mentorship, multidisciplinary discussions, and educational conferences, with opportunities ranging from surgeon-performed ultrasonography and robotic surgery observation to broader surgical oncology experiences. Applicants should choose an institution based on what they hope to learn and review its documentation, health requirements, participant costs, and available support before applying.
