The 2027 Onco-Anaesthesia Fellowship in Kolkata, India, is a 12-month, in-person program developed by the World Federation of Societies of Anaesthesiologists (WFSA) in partnership with Tata Medical Center. Designed specifically for anaesthesiologists from low- and middle-income countries (LMICs), the fellowship offers intensive clinical and academic training in onco-anaesthesia. Fellows gain hands-on experience in high-volume cancer surgery, perioperative medicine, advanced airway and vascular management, blood/fluid management, regional anaesthesia, and cancer pain care. Academic activities include biweekly didactic sessions, case conferences, and morbidity and mortality reviews. The program aims to empower fellows to return to their home countries as leaders and educators in the emerging field of onco-anaesthesia.
