Description
The Special Projects Fund from the New York Health Foundation (NYHealth) is a competitive, responsive grantmaking initiative designed to support innovative, evidence-based projects that improve the health of New Yorkers—particularly people of color and historically marginalized groups. The Fund specifically targets timely and emerging health care and public health issues not addressed by NYHealth’s main priority areas (Primary Care, Healthy Food, Healthy Lives, and Veterans’ Health). Projects should have strong potential for replication, scaling, or influence on statewide policy and systems change. Funding is intended for one-time, nonrenewable projects that are responsive to the current health landscape and evolving community needs.
