The National Science Foundation's Alliances for Graduate Education and the Professoriate (AGEP) program funds collaborative projects among similar U.S. institutions of higher education to address systemic and institutional barriers that limit the advancement of historically underrepresented minority (URM) doctoral candidates, postdoctoral scholars, and faculty in STEM fields. The program aims to foster equity and inclusion, ultimately increasing the number of URM faculty in STEM disciplines.
AGEP supports three main tracks:
All tracks require collaboration among similar institutions (e.g., by Carnegie classification, location, or demographics) and an intersectional approach to addressing equity.
