The program provides stable, multi-year support to help awardees develop integrated research and education plans that will lay the groundwork for a lifetime of leadership. CAREER awards are available across all NSF-supported disciplines and directorates. In addition, outstanding recent CAREER awardees may be considered for nomination to the Presidential Early Career Awards for Scientists and Engineers (PECASE), the highest U.S. government honor for early-career researchers.
