Description
The U.S. Department of Labor (USDOL), through its Bureau of International Labor Affairs (ILAB), intends to award a Cooperative Agreement to the Fair Food Standards Council (FFSC). The project aims to expand and assess the implementation of the Fair Food Program (FFP) model internationally. The FFP is a worker-driven social responsibility approach that promotes human and labor rights protections in agricultural supply chains.
This initiative will support an initial feasibility study and assessment to pilot the FFP model on farms outside the United States. The goal is to promote worker voice and rights protections in international agricultural supply chains, building on the success of the FFP within the U.S.
The award is based on the authority that services are available from only one responsible source and no substitute will suffice, or that the recipient has unique qualifications to perform the activity.
