The program funds statewide or multi-state regional networks (CTR-Ns) led by organizations with a strong track record in externally funded C&T research. The aim is to strengthen research addressing health challenges in these states, build research workforce capacity, and foster collaborations across institutions and with community clinics.
The CTR-N must include five required cores: Administrative, Research Design/Compliance/Data Management, Community Engagement/Outreach, Professional Development, and Health Research. Networks are expected to coordinate research, professional development, and community engagement to advance health research and investigator competitiveness for future extramural funding.
