DescriptionThe Partners for Fish and Wildlife (PFW) Program is a voluntary, incentive-based program that provides direct technical assistance and financial assistance primarily through cooperative agreements to private landowners to restore and conserve fish and wildlife habitat for the benefit of federal trust resources. Eligible Applicants- State governments- County governments- City or township governments- Special district governments- Independent school districts- Public and State controlled institutions of higher education- Native American tribal governments (Federally recognized)- Public housing authorities/Indian housing authorities- Native American tribal organizations (other than Federally recognized tribal governments)- Nonprofits having a 501 (c) (3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education- Nonprofits that do not have a 501 (c) (3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education- Private institutions of higher education- Individuals- For-profit organizations other than small businesses- Small businesses- Unrestricted

Additional Eligibility Information

The PFW Program staff reserves the right to reject projects that do not align with the regional strategic plans or headquarters priorities. To receive funding, PFW projects must be implemented on private lands, with the exception for activities that support private lands conservation such as technical assistance capacity.
