Description
This opportunity from the Agency for Health Care Research and Quality (AHRQ) supports research demonstration and dissemination projects (R18 mechanism) focused on AHRQ priorities: improving healthcare quality and patient safety, enhancing healthcare delivery and practice, and advancing whole-person healthcare. Projects may address any healthcare setting—including hospitals, ambulatory care, long-term care, home health, pharmacies, and care transitions—and can involve a variety of stakeholders such as patients, families, clinicians, policymakers, payers, and organizations at all levels.
AHRQ encourages research that develops, tests, and evaluates health service activities and fosters the application of existing knowledge to improve care. Priority populations—including minorities, women, children, elderly, rural, low-income, and individuals with special healthcare needs—should be considered in all research designs.
